Editing the Menu
To edit the menu, press the dash in the upper left corner of any page. Once the Page Builder form appears;
select "Edit" after the word Menu at the top of the Page Builder form page. The data in the Page Builder form page changes to the "Menu" data. Edit the page by changing text as needed. Following is the syntax:
Example Menu Line
Each menu entry has a corresponding page. Example; "BMW^M5 Blue ^M5 Red" will have 3 corresponding pages; "BMW", "BMW->M5 Blue", and "BMW->M5 Red"
Menu Separators
Menu items may be single key words or more in-depth category titles. Beginning a menu row with a dash activates this feature. Example; "-Inventory" will place the word "Inventory" at the head of the next menu segment.
Multiple dashes, ------- , usually mark the end of a menu group.
Capitalization (Case) Matters and Page Storage
So what happens if one changes BMW->M5 Red (upper case 'R') to BMW->M5 red (lower case 'r')? The BMW->M5 Red data has not moved. There now exists, however, a new page. This is helpful especially in using copy and paste options to duplicate existing data with slight modifications. One actual example of this would be product descriptions which remain the same though availability or prices have changed. Keep in mind: Pictures do not follow the copy and paste.
CleanUp
Note the word "CleanUp" in the Page Builder editor page. With this, one can manage website data as needed. "Cleanup" manages files that no longer correspond to menu items. You may want to delete these or save them for future reference when, for example, seasonal items return, particular items sell better, or services change.
The Delete button removes all checked files. When copying files: the dash separates the first menu word from the second. The number at the end of any file is a picture number. Copying a file to a new menu location actually does copy it; so, delete the file once moved if you no longer wish it to remain.
